Feeling passionate about making a difference to people’s lives led her to work with her sister, Dr Louise Newson, before becoming one of the leading pioneers and catalysts of raising menopause confidence and recognition at work across the UK, also contributing to the Government’s Women’s Equality Committee.
She regularly contributes to radio programmes, national TV news and publishes articles in various newspapers and magazines. She is also a qualified MHFA (Mental Health First Aider).

Claire has been a Chartered Physiotherapist for over 25 years, specialising in physical activity and women’s musculo-skeletal health. Originally from Australia, she has worked in the NHS, public health and private sectors in both Australia and the UK.
In recent years, Claire managed the University of Bristol Sports Medicine Clinic and supporting the University’s broader staff health and wellbeing programmes. She has also worked in workplace health on behalf of Corporate Wellness Companies and contributed to Employee Assistance Programmes. Claire shares her knowledge of how menopause impacts women’s joints, muscles, cardiovascular and wider health, and provides practical solutions to the challenges menopause may pose.

Nutrition will always be an emotive subject. Laura is passionate about cutting through the often controversial and confusing world of nutrition, focussing on the interplay between our food choices, our minds and our environments, to give people the confidence and clarity they need to do right by their health and body, particularly during the menopause transition.
Laura frequently contributes to mainstream press and media, including consultancy and TV appearances for the BBC and ITV. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).
