Our Mission

At empower4life, our mission is to empower organisations and their employees by providing comprehensive, tailored programmes on menopause & menstrual health related topics. We aim to foster a confident, informed, and supportive workplace culture by educating leaders and employees on sensitive issues such as menopause and menstrual health. Through this, we strive to enhance overall wellbeing, increase productivity, and promote equity, inclusivity, and common understanding, regardless of age, sex, gender, or culture.

SARAH DAVIES, CEO & FOUNDER

Sarah is a multi-lingual, experienced and qualified speaker, business coach & facilitator whose early career was spent in senior international roles at Fujitsu (ICL) and Thomas Cook before recruiting senior executives with leading search firm Heidrick & Struggles. 

Feeling passionate about making a difference to people’s lives led her to work with her sister, Dr Louise Newson, before becoming one of the leading pioneers and catalysts of raising menopause confidence and recognition at work across the UK, also contributing to the Government’s Women’s Equality Committee.  

She regularly contributes to radio programmes, national TV news and publishes articles in various newspapers and magazines.  She is also a qualified MHFA (Mental Health First Aider).

Claire Callaghan

Women’s Health

Claire has been a Chartered Physiotherapist for over 25 years, specialising in physical activity and women’s musculo-skeletal health. Originally from Australia, she has worked in the NHS, public health and private sectors in both Australia and the UK.

In recent years, Claire managed the University of Bristol Sports Medicine Clinic and supporting the University’s broader staff health and wellbeing programmes. She has also worked in workplace health on behalf of Corporate Wellness Companies and contributed to Employee Assistance Programmes. Claire shares her knowledge of how menopause impacts women’s joints, muscles, cardiovascular and wider health, and provides practical solutions to the challenges menopause may pose.

Becky Barnes

Image &Colour Consultant

Becky, a perimenopausal mum of four, and a sustainable stylist who loves helping women create a personal style that is a true reflection of self. She truly believes that ALL women have the right to feel good and sees dressing as a vital form of self care. 

Her positive approach is highly compassionate to both the women she works with and the planet we live on, ensuring style and sustainability can live happily side by side.

She often contributes to local BBC Radio shows & has recently been featured in The Guardian articles.

Laura Clark

Registered Dietitian and
Nutrition Consultant

Laura combines her love of science, people and food, to provide insightful evidence-based expertise, tailored to real life.

Nutrition will always be an emotive subject. Laura is passionate about cutting through the often controversial and confusing world of nutrition, focussing on the interplay between our food choices, our minds and our environments, to give people the confidence and clarity they need to do right by their health and body, particularly during the menopause transition. 

Laura frequently contributes to mainstream press and media, including consultancy and TV appearances for the BBC and ITV. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA)

Sam Morgan

Accredited by the BMS (British Menopause Society) and the FSRH (Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare) with 20 years experience as a GP partner in Bristol with an interest in Lifestyle Medicine.  Sam is also a Yoga teacher, trained at Bristol School of Yoga.

As a menopause specialist doctor Sam’s aim is to support women in understanding their individual experience.  She has a compassionate, non-judgmental approach and focuses on  jointly working to create a personal package of support, including lifestyle, advice on HRT and other medications to help your symptoms.
